"We" Circle : Gillian Anderson + Jennifer Nadel
CLFJ is delighted to have collaborated with award-winning actress/writer/activist, Gillian Anderson, and writer/journalist/campaigner, Jennifer Nadel, on a jewellery collection celebrating their book, We: A Manifesto for Women Everywhere.
The book is a practical, psychological, and spiritual guide for women of all ages, using nine principals to guide women towards a healthier, happier, and more compassionate life.
The symbol of the "We" book and movement is a gold circle, which can represent close-knit circles or communities of people linked together. Gillian's idea for the "We" community was for people to wear this symbol and be able to recognize an immediate friend anywhere around the world. There are many different and creative ways to show this kinship, and CLFJ is honoured to do this in the form of jewellery.
Gillian and Jennifer believe that the ultimate goal of self-empowerment is effecting change outwardly---creating fairer communities on a global level. Because of this, 100% of the net proceeds of this collection will go to Women for Women International, an organisation with more than 20 years of on-the-ground experience working with women in countries affected by conflict.
This collection is made by a handful of artisans in CLFJ's studio, where we stringently follow good labour practices. The prices for this collection have been thoughtfully considered for the main purpose of raising funds for charity; CLFJ and We: A Manifesto for Women Everywhere do not make a profit from the sales.
